Seabass fishing is one of many bottom fish that not only puts up a good fight on lighter tackle, but also makes a great dinner.  When you hook a male seabass (the one with the HUMP on its head) you will know what a true Seabass hookup feels like.

Seabass love boulder fields, rocks, ledges, ridges, dropoffs and can be caught at many different depths depending on the time of year.  Diamond jigs, Bucktail jigs and of course rigs with hooks tipped with live or frozen bait are all great choices.  Typically frozen squid and spearing are easily accessible from the bait shop and work great. Jigging bucktails tipped with gulp or other soft plastic imitation lures are a great way to target Seabass.
